We are building a user-edited, non-proprietary, community based web directory with a focus on building a free open source medical web directory. Other directories such as Yahoo, LookSmart and open non wiki directories like DMOZ are not able to scale to the growth of the Web, and still maintain a quality, current directory. This unique Wiki Open Directory Project or wiki ODP, aims to utilize the enormous collaborative possibilities offered by the wikis in building a free open source medical web directory collaboratively.
