. See Ferratin, Schmiedeberg's. Z.'s Test for CO in the Blood, add to 2 Cc. of the blood to be tested an equal volume of water and 3 drops of a one- third saturated copper sulfate solution. In the presence of carbon monoxid a brick-red precipitate is obtained, while normal blood gives a greenish-brown precipitate.
