1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane (pronounced as one-one-one-two-tetra-fluoro-ethane), also known as R-134a, is a haloalkane with the chemical formula C2H2F4.

Etymology

The name 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane is derived from its chemical structure. The numbers 1,1,1,2 refer to the positions of the carbon atoms where the fluorine atoms are attached. Properties
