An Advanced degree is a postgraduate degree that is pursued after the completion of an undergraduate degree. It includes degrees such as a Master's degree, a Doctorate degree, or a Professional degree.

Etymology

The term "Advanced degree" originates from the Latin word "de" and "gradus", which means "step". The term "advanced" is used to denote a higher level of education or a step above the undergraduate degree.

Types of Advanced Degrees
