Amastia (pronounced: ah-mas-tee-uh) is a rare medical condition characterized by the absence of one or both breasts at birth. This condition can occur in both males and females, but is more commonly observed in females.

The term 'Amastia' is derived from the Greek words 'a' meaning 'without' and 'mastos' meaning 'breast'.
