Short definitionatypical lobular hyperplasia (ay-TIH-pih-kul LAH-byoo-ler HY-per-PLAY-zhuh) A benign (non-cancerous) condition in which there are more cells than normal in the breast lobules and the cells look abnormal under a microscope. Atypical lobular hyperplasia increases the risk of breast cancer.
