Cellular Biology (pronunciation: /sɛˈljuːlər baɪˈɒlədʒi/), also known as Cell Biology, is a branch of Biology that studies the different structures and functions of the cell, which is the basic unit of life.
Etymology
The term "Cellular Biology" is derived from the Latin word "cellula", meaning "a small room", and the Greek word "βιολογία", meaning "study of life".
