Choosing Wisely is an initiative of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Foundation that promotes patient-physician conversations about unnecessary medical tests and procedures. It is designed to help patients make informed decisions about their healthcare and to promote a culture of avoiding wasteful or unnecessary medical tests, treatments, and procedures.
