chorioepithelioma - (pronounced) (KOR-ee-oh-EH-pih-THEE-lee-OH-moo) malignant, fast-growing tumor that develops from trophoblast cells (cells that help an embryo attach to the uterus and help form the placenta). Almost all chorioepithelioma form in the uterus after a sperm fertilizes an egg, but a small number form in a testicle or an ovary. Chorioepithelioma spreads through the blood to other organs, especially the lungs. They are a type of trophoblastic disease of pregnancy. Also called chorioblastoma, choriocarcinoma and choriocarcinoma
