Clostridium barati - a species of anaerobic, gram positive, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum proteobacteria. This species is motile, produces the type f toxin, does not hydrolyze gelatin, does not produce acid from trehalose, hydrolyzes esculin and reduces nitrate. C. Baratii is an emerging human pathogen and a causative agent of botulism.
