Clostridium bifermentans - a species of anaerobic, gram positive, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum firmicutes. This species is spore forming, motile, produces low levels of indole and ferments mannose. C. Bifermentans is found in cases of gaseous gangrene and in rotting meat.
