Clostridium pseudotetanicum - a species of strictly anaerobic, gram positive, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum firmicutes. This species is motile, produces the type e toxin, can only grow in the absence of oxygen, produces butyric acid, forms endospores and ferments granulose. C. Butyricum is a causative agent of botulism.
