Clostridium subterminale - a species of anaerobic, gram positive, rod shaped bacteria assigned to the phylum proteobacteria. This species is spore forming, motile, produces the type g toxin, does not hydrolyze esculin and is beta hemolytic. C. Subterminale is isolated from soil and is pathogenic, being a causative agent of botulism.
