Compressed lozenge - solid single-dose preparation intended to be sucked to obtain a local or systemic effect. It is prepared by compression and is often rhomboid in shape. Compressed lozenges usually contain flavoring and sweetening agents. They dissolve or disintegrate slowly when sucked.
