Delanterone

Delanterone (pronunciation: /dɛlæntɛroʊn/) is a synthetic, steroidal androgen that was never marketed. It is an androgen receptor agonist and hence, an androgen itself.

Etymology

The term 'Delanterone' is derived from the chemical structure of the compound. 'Delan' refers to the delan part of the chemical structure, 'tero' refers to the tero part of the chemical structure, and 'one' refers to the ketone group present in the compound.
