The Flexor Carpi Radialis (pronunciation: /ˈflɛksər ˈkɑːrpaɪ rəˈdeɪliəs/) is one of the muscles of the Human forearm.

Etymology

The term "Flexor Carpi Radialis" is derived from Latin, where "flexor" means "bender", "carpi" refers to the "wrist", and "radialis" indicates its radial attachment.

Function

The primary function of the Flexor Carpi Radialis is to flex and abduct the Wrist joint. It is also capable of weak flexion of the Elbow joint and weak pronation of the Forearm.
