GEM640 - A substance being studied for the treatment of cancer. GEM640 can kill cancer cells by blocking production of a protein called XIAP, which helps cells live longer. It also makes cancer cells more sensitive to anti-cancer drugs. It's a type of antisense oligonucleotide and a type of chemosensitizer. Also called AEG35156
