Short definitionGardasil 9 (GAR-duh-sil …) An FDA-approved vaccine for use in women and men ages 9 to 45 to prevent infection with the nine types of human papillomavirus (HPV), most commonly genital warts, certain precancerous lesions, and cancers of the cervix, vagina, vulva, anus, and head and neck, including the oropharynx. Gardasil 9 can also prevent HPV-related penile cancer.
