Short definition | germinoma (JER-mih-NOH-moo) A type of tumor that begins in germ cells (cells that make sperm or eggs). Germinomas can appear in the ovaries or testicles or other parts of the body, but most commonly they appear in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). |
