History (his-tuh-ree)

History (pronounced as /ˈhɪst(ə)ri/) is a term derived from the Ancient Greek word 'historia', which means 'inquiry, knowledge acquired by investigation'. It refers to the study and interpretation of the past, including the continuum of events occurring in succession leading from the past to the present and even into the future.
