Hyperflexion (/haɪpərˈflɛkʃən/), also known as overflexion, is a term used in medical and physiological contexts to describe the process or condition where a joint is flexed (bent) beyond its normal range of motion.
Etymology
The term "Hyperflexion" is derived from the Greek prefix hyper- meaning "over" or "beyond", and the Latin flexio meaning "a bending".
