Short definitionImbruvica (im-BROO-vih-kuh) A medicine used alone or with other medicines to treat adults with chronic lymphocytic leukemia, small lymphocytic lymphoma, Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia (a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma), mantle cell lymphoma or marginal zone lymphoma. It is also used to treat adults and children over 1 year old with chronic graft-versus-host disease.

Imbruvica blocks a protein called BTK, which can help prevent cancer cells from growing. It can also decrease the body's immune response. Imbruvica is a type of tyrosine kinase inhibitor.
