Osteitis deformans - (pronounced) (OS-tee-I-tis you-FOR-manz) A chronic disease in which both bone loss and bone regrowth are increased. Osteitis deformans most commonly occurs in the pelvic and leg bones, skull, and lower spine. It is most common in older people and can lead to bone pain, deformities, and fractures. Also called Paget's disease of the bone
