Prosperity

Prosperity (/prɒˈspɛrɪti/) is a state of flourishing, thriving, good fortune or successful social status. Prosperity often encompasses wealth but also includes other factors which can be independent of wealth to varying degrees, such as happiness and health.

Etymology

The term prosperity is derived from the Latin word 'prosperitas', which means 'doing well'. It is a combination of 'pro-' meaning 'for' and 'sperare' meaning 'to hope'.
