Respironics

Respironics (/rɛspɪˈrɒnɪks/) is a medical supply company that specializes in products designed to improve respiratory functions. The company is a subsidiary of Philips, a multinational conglomerate corporation.

Etymology

The term "Respironics" is a portmanteau of "respiratory" and "electronics", indicating the company's focus on developing electronic devices to aid in respiratory health.

History

Respironics was founded in 1976 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The company was acquired by Philips in 2008 and is now part of the Philips Healthcare division.

Products

CPAP Machines
