Sleepy

Sleepy (/ˈsliːpi/), from the Old English slæpan, meaning "to sleep", is a state of desire for sleep or a state of near sleep. It is a common condition experienced by all humans and many animals.

Causes

Sleepiness can be caused by a variety of factors, including lack of sleep, boredom, overwork, and certain medical conditions. It can also be a side effect of some medications.

Symptoms

Symptoms of sleepiness can include fatigue, drowsiness, lack of energy, and difficulty concentrating. In severe cases, it can lead to microsleeps, brief periods of sleep that occur while a person is apparently awake.
