A Glossary (pronounced: /ˈɡlɒsəri/), also known as a vocabulary or clavis, is an alphabetical list of terms in a particular domain of knowledge with the definitions for those terms.

Etymology

The term Glossary comes from the Greek word "glossarion", with its root being "glossa", meaning language or tongue. The term was adapted into Latin as "glossarium", which later evolved into the English term "glossary".
