TRAIL-R1 - (pronounced) (tray. . . ) protein on the surface of certain cells that binds another protein called TRAIL, which can kill some cancer cells. Increasing the amount or activity of TRAIL-R1 on cancer cells can kill more cells. Also called death receptor 4, DR4, TRAIL receptor 1 and a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily 10A
