Tumors can be benign (not cancer) or malignant (cancer). Benign tumors can grow large but do not spread or invade adjacent tissues or other parts of the body. Malignant tumors can spread to or invade adjacent tissues. They can also spread to other parts of the body through the blood and lymphatic systems. Also called regeneration
