AAP - An enzyme normally found in healthy kidneys. It can be found in high levels in the urine of patients with kidney problems. It is used as a biomarker to detect kidney damage caused by drugs and other agents. It can also be used to diagnose certain kidney and liver diseases. Also called alanine aminopeptidase
