ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone]], same as corticotropin) specific IG E antibody. ACTH is a 39 amino acid active peptide produced by the anterior pituitary. This monoclonal antibody (MAb) is specific to Synacthen (aa1-24 of ACTH). There are many commercial varieties of ACTH specific IG E antibodies.
