Dabs
Dabs
Dabs (/dæbz/), also known as cannabis concentrates, are a type of marijuana product that comes in many forms including oils, shatter, wax, and budder.
Etymology
The term "dabs" is believed to have originated from the action of "dabbing" the concentrate onto a heat source for consumption.
Description
Dabs are made by extracting THC and other cannabinoids using a solvent like butane or carbon dioxide, resulting in sticky oils also commonly referred to as wax, shatter, budder, and butane hash oil (BHO). They are known for their high concentration of THC, often ranging from 70% to 90%, which makes them much stronger than the typical cannabis flower.
Usage
Dabs are typically consumed through a dab rig, which is a type of pipe designed for this specific type of cannabis product. The dab is placed on the attached "nail" and a blowtorch is used to heat the nail. Once the nail is hot enough, the dab is applied and the vapor is inhaled.
