Essential

Essential (/ɪˈsɛnʃəl/) is a term used in various fields of medicine to denote something that is absolutely necessary or extremely important. The term is derived from the Latin word "essentia", meaning "being, essence".

For example, Essential Nutrients are nutrients that the body cannot synthesize on its own and must be obtained from the diet. Similarly, Essential Amino Acids are amino acids that are not synthesized by the body and must be obtained from food.
