HE4 - A protein found on cells lining the lungs and reproductive organs such as the ovaries. HE4 can be found in higher than normal levels in patients with some types of cancer, including ovarian epithelial cancer. Measuring the amount of HE4 in the blood can help plan cancer treatment or find out if the cancer is getting worse or has come back. It's a kind of tumor marker.
