July (pronounced juːˈlaɪ) is the seventh month of the year in the Gregorian calendar and one of seven Gregorian months with the length of 31 days.

Etymology

The month of July was named in honor of Julius Caesar after his death, as he was born in this month. The previous name of July in the Roman calendar was Quintilis, which means fifth.
