stomach tube - (pronounced) (GAS-trik FEE-ding toob) A tube that is inserted through the nose, throat, and esophagus and into the stomach. It can be used to administer medication, fluids and liquid food, or to remove substances from the stomach. Feeding through a nasogastric tube is a form of enteral feeding. Also called nasogastric tube and NG tube
