Erosive (/ɪˈroʊsɪv/; from Latin erosus, past participle of erodere "to gnaw away") is a medical term used to describe a condition or process that gradually destroys or wears away a part of the body. It is often used in the context of diseases or conditions that cause the breakdown of tissues or structures in the body.
