Description From the original: Dr. John B. Murphy standing in an entrance of Mercy Hospital and Medical Center. Theodore Roosevelt was taken to Mercy Hospital after being shot on October 14, 1912 before a campaign speech in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mercy Hospital was located at 2537 South Prairie Avenue in the Near South Side community area of Chicago.
