Summary
Description Tua nao (Thai script: ถั่วเน่า) are a food ingredient made from fermented soy beans in the form of round patties. Within Thailand, they are mainly used in northern Thai cuisine. This ingredient is associated with the Shan people (Tai Yai) of Myanmar and Thailand, and with the Tai Lue people of China, Myanmar and Thailand. The image shows the dried version (tua nao khaep).
