Summary
Description Soldiers of Batalion Zośka of Polish Home Army during Warsaw Uprising on 5 August 1944 in Gęsiówka. The men are dressed in stolen German uniforms and armed with confiscated German weapons. From left: Wojciech Omyła "Wojtek", Juliusz Bogdan Deczkowski "Laudański" and Tadeusz Milewski "Ćwik". Milewski was killed the day this photo was taken. Omyła was killed three days later, on August 8, 1944. Moments after this photo was taken, a German rifle-missle hit the wall over the guerrillas' heads. No one was injured.
