Summary
DescriptionCroydon - St Michael and All Angels church - geograph.org.uk - 1973707.jpg
English: Croydon: St Michael and All Angels church, near to Croydon, Great Britain.
The eastern apse of St Michael and All Angels church, a late 19th century structure tucked into Croydon's main shopping area. Although Church of England, it is (and always has been) very Anglo-Catholic in its leanings and could easily be mistaken for a Roman Catholic church inside. The architect, J. Loughborough Pearson, built the similarly Anglo-Catholic St John the Evangelist in Upper Norwood.
