Description
English: Front of the Dr. Robert Smith House, located at 855 Ardmore Avenue in Akron, Ohio, United States. During the 1930s, its owner Robert Smith founded a support group for alcoholics here with his acquaintance Bill Wilson; it grew into Alcoholics Anonymous. Built in 1914 and operated as a museum by an AA-affiliated group, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985 and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2012.
