| Description |
English: A South Indian rice preparation originating in Tamil Nadu and popular all four southern Indian states, this is basically Tamarind Rice. Tamarind Juice cooked with spices is added to rice and mixed well and then the preparation is allowed to stand for a while for the tangy flavour to settle into the entirety of the dish and then served to the guests. It is popular at weddings, festival meals and also as "prasadam" (religious food offerings) at temples. |
