Summary

Description

October is SIDS Awareness Month. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden, unexplained death of an infant younger than 1 year old. Parents and caregivers can reduce the risk of SIDS by placing infants on their backs to sleep on a firm, flat surface, free of toys, blankets, or pillows (any soft or loose items should be kept out of the baby's bed).
