Reproduce (pronounced: /riːprəˈdjuːs/) is a term used in biology and medicine to describe the process by which new individuals of the same species are produced, either by a single parent (asexual reproduction) or by two parents (sexual reproduction).
Etymology
The term "reproduce" comes from the Latin re- meaning "again" and producere meaning "to lead forth or produce".
