Alefacept - (pronounced) (uh-LEH-fuh-sept) drug used to treat certain skin conditions and being studied for the treatment of cutaneous (skin-related) T-cell cancer and T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Alefacept is made by combining part of an antibody with a protein that blocks the growth of some types of T cells. It's kind of a fusion protein and kind of an immunosuppressant. Also called Amevive
