Arjunan Rajasekaran (born 1935) is an Indian urologist known for his significant contributions to the field of male infertility therapy in India.

Early Life and Education

Arjunan Rajasekaran was born in 1935. The details of his early life and education are not widely known.

Career

Rajasekaran served as a Professor and Head of the Department of Urology at the Madras Medical College. He is recognized as one of the pioneers of male infertility therapy in India.

In addition to his academic role, Rajasekaran founded the Madras Andrology and Assisted Reproduction Research Centre, a Chennai-based clinic specializing in male infertility.

Rajasekaran also holds the position of president at the National Board of Examinations, the highest academic position in the medical sector in India.

Awards and Recognition

Rajasekaran is a recipient of the Dr. B. C. Roy Award, the highest Indian award in the medical category. In 2008, the Government of India awarded him the fourth highest civilian honour of the Padma Shri, in recognition of his contributions to medical science.
