Dirty (/ˈdɜːrti/), from the Old English dritig, is a term used in various medical contexts to describe a condition or state that is unclean, contaminated, or infected.

In a medical context, the term "dirty" is often used to describe wounds, surgical instruments, or environments that are contaminated with bacteria or other potentially harmful microorganisms. This can lead to infection or disease if not properly managed.
