Donald John Trump (/ˈdɒnəld dʒɒn trʌmp/; born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman, television personality, and politician who served as the 45th President of the United States from January 20, 2017, to January 20, 2021.

Etymology

The surname "Trump" is a variant of the German word "Drumpf", which means "drum". The family changed the name to Trump during the Thirty Years' War in the 17th century.
