MEFV

MEFV (pronounced as M-E-F-V, /ˈmɛfv/) is a gene that provides instructions for making a protein called pyrin. The term MEFV is derived from the French MEditerranean FeVer, as the gene is associated with Familial Mediterranean fever (FMF).

Etymology

Function
